Many songs that were not sang, many
dramas that wasn’t acted, many beautiful words that was not preached.
There’s a question that you should ask
yourself every day,
Why am I alive?
What is the purpose of my living?
What can I do differently from others?
There’s a popular saying “if the purpose
of something is not known, abuse is inevitable”. Every man born
has one distinct talent which was given to him, and so long as you don’t
discover it you continue to struggle. Begin the hunt today by rediscovering
yourself and allowing God to use you as a vessel unto honor.
Defining the purpose of your existence is the most paramount thing in the life of anyone cos it helps you and shaping you in the way that God wants you to. Talent is a supernatural endowment.
Discovering one’s self is the most important ingredient in human life which help boost his high performance in all areas of endeavors. For one to be successful in life there’ll be need for him to discover himself by conducting SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) analysis on himself.
“Show me man that is doing excellently well in his career and I will show you man who has discovered himself” – Sunnypraiz.
By doing that, it helps you grow
effortlessly by: -
- Ø Focusing mostly on your strengths
- Ø Work on your weakness to it maximum level
- Ø Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way
- Ø Build a double pallet firewall of security against any form of threat.
- The man who has not discover himself can not live at his optimal level and not always stable.
In the journey of discovering yourself,
you must have a self-reflection and cross – examine yourself.
I want to ask you and whatever answer you have
for yourself determine who you really are: -
Who are you?
The question “who are you?” is one
common question that calls to sober – reflection each time it is asked by
examine himself.
Discovering yourself is linked to your
faith in God, because God as the chief manufacturer is the writer of your life
and who you will become in life therefore, in the journey of “Discovering
yourself” you must mirror your life in God’s word the bible says in 1 Cor.
11:28 “let every man Examine himself” also in 2 Cor. 13:5 “Examine yourselves,
whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves”. There are way God sees you
different from how you see yourself, the earlier you discover who you’re in God
the earlier the fulfilment of his plans for you comes.
Who are you
in God?
Knowing who you’re in God helps you to
exert the authority he has given us through the death of his only begotten son
on the cross of Calvary as a god. Psalms 82:6
Your knowledge about who you are in God
help lives in dominion and operate from the higher dimensions Gen. 1:26-27,
Psalms 110:1, Eph. 6:10-17.
BE ALL YOU
CAN BE IN GOD:
Since God has created you perfectly and
wonderfully Psalms 139:14, and also all that is required for you to succeed he
has deposited in you because Phil. 4:13 says “I can do all things through him
(Christ) who strengthens me”, it is now left for you to activate those full
potentials he has deposited in you and how to grow spiritual life through: -
·

·
Through self–examination
·
Through bible studying and meditation
Your self discovery determines your
recovery in your destiny journey. Remember, as you may have discovered and on
the path of recovery, don’t think you are going to get it on the platter.
Jospeh in Gen. 37 was hated by his own brethren, in fact he was “hated the
more” but one thing is sure irrespective of the hatred from his brethren it
doesn’t stop him from recovering his place in destiny.
There was a story of two men, one they
said he will serve the other while the other will eventually become a king, as
they grew the one who they said will be king, because of the prophet relax and
become redundant while the other that they said will serve the supposed king
lost himself into a place I called a place of discovery and activation (i.e.,
become hardworking) and he became a great farmer, and behold a famine hit the
land. They sought for who will rescue them from been taken over by the famine
and behold they sought for the supposed servant and made him king while the
supposed king became relegated and became servant.
The story above reminds of us the story
of “Jephthah” in Judges 11. Even though his brethren thrusted him out of
sharing inheritance with them yet, it does not deter him from recovering his
place in destiny even in that state of rejection (the land of Tob) he finds
himself “he gathered vain to himself and out them he made a mighty man of war”
who went to war with him against Ammonites and win.
The place of discovery is the place of
hard–work, a place of skill acquisition, a place of refining, it’s a place of
waiting which requires lots of courage and patience with endurance, it’s a
place of research and evaluation.
