 Life is a journey

Job 14:1-14 (AMPC)
14 Man who is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
2 He comes forth like a flower and withers; he flees also like a shadow and continues not.
3 And [Lord] do You open Your eyes upon such a one, and bring me into judgment with You?
4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!
5 Since a man’s days are already determined, and the number of his months is wholly in Your control, and he cannot pass the bounds of his allotted time—
6 [O God] turn from him [and cease to watch him so pitilessly]; let him rest until he has accomplished as does a hireling the appointed time for his day.
7 For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender shoots of it will not cease. [But there is no such hope for man.]
8 Though its roots grow old in the earth and its stock dies in the ground,
9 Yet through the scent [and breathing] of water [the stump of the tree] will bud and bring forth boughs like a young plant.
10 But [the brave, strong] man must die and lie prostrate; yes, man breathes his last, and where is he?
11 As waters evaporate from the lake, and the river drains and dries up,
12 So man lies down and does not rise [to his former state]. Till the heavens are no more, men will not awake nor be raised [physically] out of their sleep.
13 Oh, that You would hide me in Sheol (the unseen state), that You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, that You would set a definite time and then remember me earnestly [and imprint me on your heart]!
14 If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare and service I will wait, till my change and release shall come.

Life is indeed a journey Eccl. 3:1-8 in that passage it’s talks about time and time but on the basis of these piece I want to base my emphasis on a time to be born and a time to die

In between these two strategic times in life are many activities which will accounted for on the last day. The journey all started right from the day you conceived in your mother’s womb. It was gathered scientifically that during the intercourse millions of sperm cells from man went into the woman and the luckiest and the smartest one which is you scaled through to hatch the egg in your mother’s womb which result into you. And right there in the womb God chose you Jer. 1:5, you were preserved and protected till the due date when you came out of your mother’s womb alive.
Life is in phases and in stages.

Infant stage.

When all your desires, want need and choices are at the mercy of your parents or guidance, where and when it is not all you wanted will be given to you, because you’re needs and wants are strictly under control of your parents and guidance.

Adolescence, Egg, youthful stage

The stage of meeting, mingling and tangling. It’s one of the most precious, useful but delicate stage of life. The decision-making stage of life, where you are old enough to take up some responsibility for yourself, remember “the decision you make in life can either make you or mal-you”. The stage when you can do and undo and often time you may not have the power or opportunity to undo some actions taken, the stage you can jump from point A to Point B and not tired. This is the stage in life that you can possibly step on a stone and it will break in pieces because you still have the strength and you are full of blood.

That is why the bible urge us in Eccl. 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth… you may ask how can I remember now my creator?

  1. Fear God and depart from evil. Psalm 1:1
  2. Reverence him Proverbs 3:5-6
  3. Obey him
  4. Be full of service for God. Roman 12:1
  5. Study to show thyself approved 2 Tim 2:15
  6. Walk with God
  7. Meditate in the word of the Lord Day and night Psalm 1:3, Josh. 1:8
  8. Giving. Etc
  9. Flee all youthful lust Pleasure, money, fleshy desires. Psalm 119:9-11 1 Cor. 6:18 2 Tim. 6:9-12.

Adult Stage Ripe stage.

At the point in someone’s life, you are supposed to be resting from all forms of labour. The stage when the law of diminishing return set in someone’s life where Eccl. 12:1b states that: while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

here are some questions one is expected to ask himself/herself:

what will you remembered for after you are gone?
What precept or legacy are you leaving behind for the
coming Generation to follow?

I want to say here make every moment of your life count. Your life is like a book which people read daily take it or leave it. I keep saying if you have been with me as a friend and you don’t learn anything from me then I’m not worth befriend with. Don’t be someone whom people will ever regret associating with but be that friend whom people will love been with cos of your positive influence you had on them.
Again, please try as much as possible for you not to fail in life, because legions of lives destinies are tied to you, that once you fail, they are bound to fail except by God mercy.
Live a life that is worth emulating, a life of legacy, a free and fair lifestyle, leave a foot – print for the generations unborn to follow.
Remember, every man will give account of what he does in these body. 1 Cor. 6:17; 24. What record did you have to present? Is it how helpful and edifying you’re? or of the fact that through you a lot have wandered away from the faith as a result of you character and way of life?

Conclusion
Here I want to draw you attention to have examine your life. Place your life on a scale of balance which is the word of God, because God will judge every actions and inactions, your motives, remember Eccl. 12:13-14 (AMPC) All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of his creation, the object of God’s providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good or evil.
Also remember it is appointed to man once to die and after that is the Judgement. Are you going to appear before the great white throne judgement or the Judgement seat of Christ? It’s clarion call to have a rethink of your life and existence are you living to please you creator, yourself, your spiritual leaders, your wife, your husband, your children or your brothers and sisters?
